If your dog decides to turn their leash or collar into a snack, it won’t be covered under warranty — but don’t worry, we do offer repairs for chewed gear. Just email us at mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we’ll help you out.

• Standard – Made for medium to large breeds, this version offers extra strength and durability without compromising on comfort. It features a large auto-lock carabiner for added security, ensuring your dog stays safely connected to you.

My 3rd lead from Artic Sammy! This hands free option combined with the traffic hand & matching martingale collar is a real game changer for our energetic Welsh springer spaniel pup. Just love it & may well buy another colour combo - just because I can!!!
We’ve been using these leashes every day for over two years with two big dogs (one of them very powerful). We’ve just bought two new ones just because we love them so much, but the old ones are still going strong - even though they’ve been through everything: repeatedly shock-loaded, submerged in saltwater, and caked in sand. They’re hands down the most reliable and versatile leashes we’ve ever had. Super comfortable to wear around the waist - you almost forget it’s there, until something bolts from the bushes and you realise it just saved you from dropping your water bottle or the lead.
It adjusts easily to whatever length you need, feels soft but sturdy in the hands when you do use it that way, and the design is delightful and clever. The “traffic handle” version is great - the loop sits up on its own so you can grab it without fiddling around, which makes a difference in busy areas.
It’s beautifully made, super tough, and still looks great after all this time. Couldn’t ask for more.

My boy is a young Springer Spaniel x Lab. Springers zig zag BAD and cannot help but pull on lead. This is a great lead for us both and I didn’t get home annoyed from all the pulling and stopping or pain in my hands. I do wish it was a tad longer e.g. 5m for zig zaggers like Stormy, even if the longer option only came in 1 colour. But I will add his regular leash as an extension. Maybe that helps. Great product though. Never going back to lead walking by hand!!

Unfortunately, no. You know, just like us, that dogs can chew through anything they put their mind to. The good news is: In most cases, we can repair your leash! Just send us a message and we will sort it out for you.
Yes you can! All our metal parts are either made of stainless steel or aluminium and are rust proof. We recommend giving your leash a quick rinse after a good swim to avoid long term corrosion.
Yes it is! In fact, it is a very safe way of walking a not yet trustworthy dog as you are not running the risk of dropping the leash. On top, you have both hands free to use treats and hand signals during your training.
