The TX Direct Wash-In is a high-performance wash-in waterproofing for your Arctic Sammy Raincoat. Adds durable Water Repellency and revives breathability to keep your dog's raincoat fresh and clean!
Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In is easy and quick to apply in a washing machine, and its highly Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops on air drying. The washing machine application ensures that the treatment goes right through the garment, treating seams, tapes and cords, as well as the fabric.
The need for tumble drying is removed which makes your coat last longer, saves energy and protects it from the heat of a dryer. Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres allowing moisture vapour to pass through, maintaining breathability.
- 300ml bottle
- Approximately 100ml detergent is required per 2 items
- Restores waterproof/breathable performance in technical outerwear
- Tested safe for Raincoat Milford, GORE-TEX Ultrex, Entrant and other waterproof breathable fabrics

For best results remove all non-washable parts and always clean item(s) first with Nikwax Tech Wash® in a separate wash cycle. No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing. Shake well before use.
Machine wash:
- Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser
- Place maximum of 2 garments in washing machine
- Use 150ml per garment (front loader) and 150ml per garment (top loader)
- Run 30°C synthetic cycle and slow spin (front loader) or 40°C synthetic cycle (top loader)
Hand wash (use gloves):
- Immerse 1 clean item in 6 L of hand-hot water in a sink or bowl
- Add 50ml of TX Direct Wash-In detergent
- Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5-10 minutes, then agitate thoroughly
- Rinse in cold water until water runs clear
To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash®. Do not use detergents.

As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these maybe necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you are familiar with your package destination’s import duty, customs and local sales taxes, as well as it’s rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products. If a delivery attempt has been made and the item was not collected and has been returned to us, you will be required to pay the re-delivery fee and the duty tax for re-import of the purchased items. If the duty tax is more then the value of the purchased items, we will abandon the package.

All New Zealand orders will be shipped with New Zealand Post. You will receive an email confirmation within one business day of your order being dispatched.
International orders will also be shipped with DHL Express or NZ Post for orders over $150NZD.

Lifetime Warranty - Really?
Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.
We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.
Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.
