Description

Dogwatch Sanctuary Trust is a registered charity established in 1982. We rescue, care for and rehome dogs that have been abandoned at pounds throughout Canterbury, or surrendered from private situations. 

Dogwatch receives no government or council funding. We rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters and on our own fundraising activities. We also depend on a dedicated group of around 80 volunteers who help care for our dogs, clean and maintain our facilities, match dogs to adopters and raise funds.

Dogwatch operates from a five acre, purpose-built adoption centre in Bromley. Our facilities include two kennel blocks, large outdoor yards, two exercise paddocks and an office/customer area. We also have a secondhand variety store in New Brighton which provides a substantial part of our income.

The dogs we rescue are mostly mixed breed and range from puppies to seniors. New dogs are arriving all the time and we also help dog owners who, for one reason or another, are struggling to give their dog the level of care it needs. In these situations we can provide food, bedding, crates and advice.

When we first started, Dogwatch was solely made up of a network of willing fosterers who were keen to get dogs out of the pound and into a safe environment. Even though we have our own kennel facilities these days, we still rely on many loving foster families to care for and nurture dogs with special medical or behavioural needs.

We’ve been rescuing dogs in Canterbury for over 35 years and we’ll continue to do this work tirelessly for as long as dogs are in need. By supporting us in any way you can, we can improve dogs’ lives together.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your package within the time frame expected. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch (make sure you watch out for that dispatch email). Arctic Sammy does not hold responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen packages.

Please note... As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these maybe necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you are familiar with your package destination’s import duty, customs and local sales taxes, as well as it’s rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products. If a delivery attempt has been made and the item was not collected and has been returned to us, you will be required to pay the re-delivery fee and the duty tax for re-import of the purchased items. If the duty tax is more then the value of the purchased items, we will abandon the package.

Please allow up to 3-4 business days for all items purchased through a sale to be packaged and shipped.

 

All New Zealand orders will be shipped with New Zealand Post. You will receive an email confirmation within one business day of your order being dispatched.

International orders will also be shipped with DHL Express or NZ Post for orders over $150NZD.

Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime Warranty - Really?

Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.

We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.

Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.
